Research & Training Services
NEST under this heading has been facilitated different training, research and consultancy services in different thematic areas
such as environment, agriculture and livestock management, governance and development, GESI, leadership development, organaizational management and skill and entrepreneurship development. Initially NEST was established with the purpose of capacity building of people and organization and has facilitated more than 1300 training since its inception in different locations in Nepal. During the year 2016-2017, it has facilitated many trainings events for different organizations and community groups. The major trainings were Improved Cook Stove (ICS), Kitchen Gardening, Social Mobilization, Entrepreneurship development Governance/ Child Friendly Local Governance, Triggering of WASH program, Organic Agriculture, Gender Equality and Social Inclusion, Women Empowerment, Cooperative Management, Livelihood Improvement.
The major stakeholders and donors who supported for training and consulting programme are Gurkha Welfare Scheme (GWS), Kadoorie Agriculture Aid Association (KAAA), WWF Hariyon Ban Programme, DDC, VDCs and Community Based Organizations. The total beneficiaries of training and research programme were 2050 (F= 1119 and M=931).
